DIOCESAN EVENTS

  1. The Deanery of Waterloo is hosting Mapping the Ground We Stand On at Church of the Holy Saviour, Waterloo on Saturday, September 20, 10 am - 2 pm. A light lunch is included. This is an interactive experience, offered by Alongside Hope, inviting participants to reflect on interwoven histories and the ongoing relationship of Indigenous Nations and settlers.   3. Good News from Camp Huron: 

    Camp is off to a great start!  We still have spaces, especially in our week long sessions August 3 - 9 & August 10 - 16.

    There are also limited spaces in Day Trippers a Monday to Friday program for children who join a cabin group during the day,  from breakfast to dinner. It's proving to be a great way for campers who live nearby to experience camp!

  5. The Essex Deanery Lay Leadership Training Classes: Lay leadership courses for 2025 and early 2026.
    These classes will be held in person at Canterbury College. Classes are from 10:00 am - 2:30 pm with 30 minutes for lunch.

    We have partnered with Canterbury College for the courses and they are providing us with the technology support to also bring the classes by zoom. Please join us for one or for all of the classes.

    This year we have decided to focus on the core subjects.

    Jan 17 and Mar 21, 2026 - Preaching

    The Essex Deanery Lay Leadership Classes are invited to join the Fall AFP Conference on zoom on Saturday October 4th from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.

    The Rev’d Dr. Lisa Wang, Developer for Catechumenal Ministries will conduct a workshop entitled, Bless the Lord, O my soul: Morning and Evening Prayer in the Life of God's People

    This workshop offers an introduction to the divine office, the ancient "liturgy of the hours" that Anglicans have come to know and love as Morning Prayer (Matins), Evening Prayer (Evensong) and Night Prayer (Compline).

    Get ready to hit the greens for a great cause! The All Saints, Waterloo Golf Team are thrilled to invite you to the Sidewalk Centre @ All Saints Golf Tournament! This is an exciting event designed to raise much-needed funds for the Sidewalk Community Centre. A fantastic opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day of golf, connect with fellow community members, and contribute to a vital cause that supports so many in our neighbourhood.

  6. UPCOMING EVENTS AT ST. GEORGE'S, LONDON: 

    Choral Evensong, St. George’s, London.

    The monthly Choral Evensong series, at St. George’s, 227 Wharncliffe Rd. North, will return on Sunday, September 28th. The services will then continue on the fourth Sunday of every month, beginning at 4:00pm. Please note that there will be no Choral Evensong services during the months of July and August.

    Our Parish Theologian, The Rev'd Canon Dr. Timothy Connor, is leading a three-part series which will continue this Winter, The Legacy of Anglicanism - Difficult, Delightful, Deep.
    Part Three  of the series, 'The Deep Legacy' will begin in October 2025.

  7. St. James, Cambridge will be hosting a day of worship, learning and fellowship on September 27, 2025.
